James J. Dodaro

James J. Dodaro, also known as Jim, is a general practice lawyer with over forty-five years of experience helping clients in a wide range of legal fields, and has specialized in Municipal Law for the entirety of his career.

 

Jim attended The University of Pittsburgh and law school at Duquesne University School of Law.  After law school, Jim worked for Zappala, Dodaro & Cambest as a named partner, specializing in Municipal Law.

 

He went on to hold prestigious positions, such as the Director of Development of Allegheny County, Administrator of the Allegheny County Hospital Development Authority, Executive Director of the Allegheny County Industrial Development Authority, Solicitor of the Community College of Allegheny County, and even spent time as the Solicitor of the Allegheny County.

 

Currently, along with being a named Partner at Dodaro, Matta & Cambest, P.C., he is a Board Member of the Allegheny County Finance & Development Commission and Executive Vice President of Resource Development and Management, Inc., a public management consulting firm.

 

Jim founded our law firm in 1992 with John F. Cambest under the name of Dodaro, Cambest & Associates. Today, he spends as much time as he can with his wife, Carol, his children James Jr., Daniel, and Carolyn, and his many grandchildren.
